on saturday night we had our work’s birthday party. the theme was casino royal, so we went dressed as high rollers, or as some thought, the 3 amigos and their cousin. we had too much fun. why is playing dressing up, R8 moustaches and burning money so awesome?

for those of you who don’t know about Frankie magazine, be prepared to make a little wee wee in your pants. this is one of my most favourite magazines ever. if i could and if it was humanly possible, i would live inside this magazine. it would be uncomfortable and ridiculous, but i would do it if i could!
the photography is beautiful, the things and people they feature are awesome and the art direction is like a double whipped chocolate pie with vanilla cream on top. this magazine is really hard to find in this country, but i have convinced my partners to let us stock it. we are one of 2 places they have it, so if you want to get your hands on one, come past the shop – you won’t be sorry. and if you are sorry you bought it, i will personally bake you 12 double chocolate cupcakes with whipped cream on top x x for real x x

anybody else out there wishing they were still on holiday? or super rich so the only thing you have to do everyday is think of ridiculous ways to spend your money, like on a pretzel the size of the voortrekker monument? now that is something i would pay money to see and eat.

i bought these crazy old school tops from an old gentlemen’s outfitters. shane and terence, at the time, were planning on starting a rap group, so i thought matching grey and maroon tennis sport toughscore sweaters were more than appropriate. sometimes clothing designers get it so right.

these are 2 of my very good friends karen and scarface.
* i must say i am loving my new instant camera. it makes me happy that there is no going to a kodak shop to get them developed by some weird long haired guy who really wants to be a professional latin ballroom dancer. you take the picture. you count to 15 and then there it is, like magic.

these are some polaroids i took in Barcelona. i’m happy with them, but i wish i had taken more.
1- when we were over there i called shane, dora, like dora the explorer and he called me jack, cause my hair reminded us of jack sparrow’s hair haha! oh no! 2- an awesome view of Barcelona. 3- a ping pong table in the park. wish we had a park with one of those. 4- me in an awesome cluttered lamp store. 5- dora exploring. 6- shane sitting on the window sill of one of the hotels we stayed in. 7- shane and i eating in a genuine spanish restaurant. i had fishermen’s spaghetti as a starter, all i can say is wow. maybe a better name for it would of been, spaghetti and surprise. 8- shane in a park with a cool metal typographical sign behind him. 9- a weird dog ornament thing. i like what the polaroid has done. 10- cool yellow cable car. 11- shane standing.

this is my buck simon. my friends stan and hilton stole him for me one dark night from a boring office park in rosebank. they arrived at my flat at 3 in the morning carrying him. when i first opened the door i got a fright, but then it was love at first sight. he has been with me for about 6 years now and i don’t think i will ever get rid of him, he’s like my best friend who never speaks to me, but i love him anyway.
