I found this lovely lady on Etsy the other day, her name is Hidden Eloise and she lives in Northen England where she is a drawer, a damn good drawer. She said she started drawing when she was very little and it certainly dominated her childhood and now she pleasantly allows it to dominate her adulthood. I wish I could draw well, or draw fullstop. That would make me and the people i leave post-its for very happy. Eloise draws pictures that make you want to be little again and lost in a forest with only a giant bear as your friend. Yes.

Just like the rest of us, she likes collecting things like, Japanese and Chinese tea sets, two hundred varieties of tea to go with them, strawberry scented erasers, old clocks and apothecary jars. Haha I love the fact that she collects strawberry scented erasers, cause lets face it, they are the best kind. Their only downfall is that they  don’t taste like they smell,  as kid that confused the bejeezers out of me – oh the world can be so cruel sometimes.

My last question to Eloise was “if you could be any brown coloured object in the world, what would that be?”
Her answer: A bear. If living things don’t count, I would be stuffed! * Pun intended *

Here are just some of her beautiful and a slightly dark drawings and they are all for sale in her shop

Now you can have your very own Eloise print. She has been kind enough to send me the one below, which is about an A4. It’s one of my most favourite ones on her site. It needs a pretty frame and a pretty home, so if you would like it, all you have you do is leave me and Eloise a comment. It’s as easy as leading a bear to honey by your hair. She has also sent a pretty badge and postcard for the winner.

The picture above is a print Eloise sent just for me. i love it, boat clip and all. And i just so happen to have the perfect frame for it. Thanks my friend, it’s looking oh so pretty on my shelf x x

horse

shane and i were in rustenburg for the weekend to visit shane’s folks. i took ‘flash’ with me, my new camera and we went for a drive around the town, to magaliesburg and back. i only bought one thing, this tiny horse (he’s like the size of a matchbox), but he’s super awesome and i took a bunch of photos. it was a good weekend. i heart my new camera.
