Lucky Pony

so today, seeing as it is a tuesday, i thought i’d introduce you to my new friend Louise. she lives in the UK where she collects lots of bits and pieces from all sorts of places like jumble & car boot sales, charity shops etc. she then likes to take these things and make awesome pieces like these.

how awesome is her ruffle necklace? she loves collecting all sorts of vintage things, which drives her boyfriend mad cause they live in a small flat. shane has the same problem with me, i’m constantly coming home with something shaped like an animal or a vintage. poor boys.

oh and one more thing, i asked louise what she would do if she was attacked by a bear, as one would ask a new friend. she reckons: I’ve heard that you should try to puff yourself up and make yourself look really big, but I’m ridiculously small and unscary so I’m not putting my trust in this advice. Maybe if I had a really big stick I could be more intimidating? Or i know one kind of  bear can’t climb trees. So I could get in a tree…but I can’t remember which kind that is so, to answer your question, I’d probably just make a fool of myself and get eaten.

i like this girl. i like her jewelery. i like her blog. go have a visit, you won’t be sorry, then go to her site super duper things and leave a comment on my blog about your most favourite piece. then next week monday, i’m going to randomly pick a name and that person is going to get these 3 flipping awesomes to sail into the sunset with. good luck x

    Dear Dr Angie

I have a problem that has been tearing me apart for some time now. It is a strange problem and I fear you may think me “a crazy” for divulging, but i just have nowhere else to turn. I call it: The Wanderlust. See, every so often, certain body parts of mine just have a habit of, um, floating off into the air. Yes. Like little balloons. Or blossoms. Or pieces of plastic wrapper from your lunch sandwich on a blustery day.Or overzealously brimmed beach hats. You get the picture. Anyway , this is a very disturbing phenomenon. It has in the past, frightened an assortment of children, animals, friends and relatives, and thrust me into the depths and toils of social outcast. Not to mention the tiresome job of actually having to retrieve the things. Hell, nobody wants that at a fondue! But I digress. See, I have managed to find “a coping mechanism” to keep my extremities on my person: anchors. Lots of them. You see where I’m going with this? Yes. Yes you do. Coincidentally, I have been experiencing The Wanderlust very severely in my earlobes, my left index finger and my left boob. You wouldn’t perchance have anything to help me out? I have a date next week, and no one likes to share their spaghetti over a candle with cyclops boob girl.

PS: I like the nautical rope and chain bracelet and the harriet bow the mostest.

  5. Lauren

I once had to wear a white sailor leotard for a play and I haven’t quite recovered. This is why I think I deserve that lovely blue and gold ribbon or the little anchor earrings. Pick First Mate Lauren!

I think marauding extremities is more serious than childhood trauma. Here is the proof:

psychologist: hi, how can i help you
    lauren: i have childhood trauma
    psychologist: step into my office.

psychologist: hi, how can i help you?
danni: sometimes my boobs and arms and stuff just fly away
    psychologist: …..
    danni: …..
psychologist: get off my doorstep immediately or i will telephone the police

    see?

i really like the rabbit silhouette on the oval thing on a chain. do i get it now?

  8. Marina

    Im a nautical slut,
    so why must you
    tempt me like this!

    I love the earrings….
    Nice find.

  9. Karen

They’re ok. They’d be better if they were made out of chocolate cake.

  10. Evelyn

months ago I discovered this shop, and I loved it immediately!
I love everything in her shop!!
my fav is Leather hare silhouette in vintage frame

  11. Elizabeth

  12. Jules

    Don’t bother entering bitches it’s all mine x x

  13. hannahjoy

ooh i love all of it! but those Flora Brown badges are just too cool:)

  14. gwen

the hare silhouette is adorable. and the bib necklaces. and the pom-poms are a bit over the top but I think I could carry them off ;]

  15. Nicole

    anchor.
    that is all.

  16. Lea

This http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=39367620 was my favourite, its plastic and royal blue and it matches my velvet blue pumps with pom poms on them. It also matches my circa 1963 house dress that is white with royal blue feather print detail. I’m in love with the details. and blue. Don’t even get me started on the mention on of the word ‘vintage’, i could pee in my pants.

  17. Being Brazen

    very nice stuff :)

Ps – have a great weekend!

  18. Emma-Jane

I love the ‘Blue brooch with vintage music script’. she is super duper talented.. wow

  19. bella

i very much love everything that involves ruffles.as for the bear situation, maybe play dead, climbing tree’s can be frighteningly difficult business, and i suppose would be even harder when filled right up with adrenilin.x

  20. tamara

i really love the loulou blue necklace with the gold chain..and the thing is i don’t really onderstand what she means when she tries to explain how she made it..she took a picture of a frame..printed it out..and stuck it on wrinkled paper? this woman is an illusionist..and a damn fine one at it. oh and i also really love the run away to sea-navy rope bracelet..it’s beautiful..yes it is…but i’m really late entering this thing..so i’ll just accept defeat..hell i accepted defeat as soon as i heard that elaborately elaborated story about the flying mammaries..the girl REALLY needs this stuff..buuuuuut…maybe you really ARE only picking the winner on monday which means that i have up until now a 0.2 % chance of winning..wait..no statistics…i failed my last exam…i have 1 chance out of 20..wow..yes…make me win yes? it’s cold and wintery here and i need stuff to remind me of the ocean..thank you :)

  21. tamara

the onderstand part was just a schwarzenegger touch i decided to add…but you understand what i meant

  22. ann

I am truly gobsmacked and in love with everything Louise makes. Bring it on!

  23. Amy-jane

we used to have a bunny rabbit.
his name was elivs but he chewed through our gate and ran away-
it would be so cool to have a rabbit pendant in loving memory of him:)

  24. danni

    has anyone seen my boob?

  25. jessica / miniature rhino
