it’s old. it’s awesome. it has circus themed reels. i love the packaging and the fact that it’s brown and not red. wish i could think of a cool way to display it. it also has a reel of coordinated water skiers doing a show back in 1952. man, this thing is so cool.
when i was in an antique slash secondhand store the other day, i found this bear-boy, which i immediately picked up and took to the lady at the counter to ask for a price. she looked at me weirdly and then told me i could have it for nothing. i think we were both happy. i was happy to take him home. she was happy never to see him again. Shame.
and i baked yesterday. yip, i finally used a few of my 100 cookie cutters i bought a couple of months ago. i think the ice-cream and tennis racquet are my favourite. breakfast here i come.
shane and i had been searching and searching for an old kitchen unit that we could either restore ourselves or just buy out someone’s shop, but to our dismay we found nothing. until we came across this little gem sitting on someone’s stoep in rustenburg. the lady who owned it was only too happy to get rid of it, she was thinking about taking it to the junk heap. aaaaaaaaaa. no. so we gave her R400 and piled it into shane’s dad’s 4×4. we have started working on it, well shane more than me hee and right now it is sitting in about 43 and half pieces in shane’s parents garage. but it’s going to look amazing. now we just have to find a nice house with a not so nice kitchen we want to rip out and replace, so our unit can have a nice new home.
on monday morning we have creative meetings. this monday it was jo, peet and myself’s turn to do something. so we got people to dance. why? because there is nothing better than dancing and because we had seen this cool project made by this cool guy and thought, lets make a video just like his. we didn’t manage to film 100 dances, but we did get 20 down on film. it was super fun.
so in case you’re confused - you are going to be watching 20 of us dance individually to 20 of our favourite songs in 20 different places. fun? I say yes.
thanks woolworths for giving me this awesome for 80 smackers. sales rule and so does this girl’s wardrobe. if only i had this dress to go with my new bag (it would just have to be a bit longer hee). go look at the rest of her amazing clothes here and then go buy yourself a big ice-cream to cry on.
this beautiful pin belongs to my friend doug. one day when he’s not looking he’s going to give it me. yes. it’s a kilt pin, if anyone was wondering, men pin it onto their kilts as a form of decoration. if it was mine, i would just hold it my hands and talk to it all day.
jo and i went shopping for network’s new reception area on friday. we got a lump of a cash and a brief we came up with. oooooooh so much fun. we had to buy art deco light fittings and paintings for the wall. i’ll show you what we got for them later on. but for now, look at this masterpiece i took home. it’s awesome. it has deer in it. it’s huge. and the best part is – it’s made of carpet material. ha!
we JUST managed to fit it into my car. holy moly. i was on top of the steering wheel and jo was on the dashboard. the lady at the shop where we bought it from was laughing at us. she even called her mom on the phone to tell her how ridiculous we looked. the squashed drive home was totally worth it though.
found this on the internet. what a sweet cat. i wish i had a cat, but shane has asthma, which means if i have a cat, shane has no face or life. oooh that would be bad.
